Alpha/King- The lead stallion in a herd. Must be at least 5 years old. They may evict any member of the herd for a good reason.
Alpha/Queen- The lead mare in a herd. Must be at least 4 years old. They may evict any member of the herd for a good reason.
Beta Stallion- Helps the alphas do their job. They are the next lowest from the Alphas. They still obey the King and Queen.
Beta Mare- Helps the alphas do their job. They are the next lowest from the Alphas. They still obey the King and Queen. Usually, her mate is the beta stallion.
Normal- The average horse in a herd. No job to do but obey the King, Queen, and Betas. They may be stallions and/or mares. Stallions are usually descendents from the Queen or beta mare.
Foals- Foals that are under 1 year. They usually stay in the center of the herd to play while the other herd members form a wall-like shield for predators.
